BROOKS
BROTHERS OPENS STATE-OF-THE-ART SUIT FACTORY IN HAVERHILL, MA
On April 23, the
150-year-old Brooks Brothers men’s tailored clothing manufacturer
opened its new suit and pants factory in Haverhill,
Massachusetts. 300 New England Joint Board members were saluted at
the grand opening by Brooks Brothers President
Claudio Del Vecchio, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Joint
Board Manager Warren Pepicelli.
Brooks Brothers invested $6 million in new plant and equipment, as
contractor Southwick Clothing relocated from its historic Lawrence,
Mass. facility to the new building.
The Joint Board cooperated with management in winning a $420,000
Workforce Training Fund grant from the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts.

instructors
from Northern Essex Community College. Workers will also receive
“cross-training” in performing multiple operations, and technical
training in operating computer-based workstations and in quality
control for the $500 and up suits.
